Shimmer Walls

Luster Stone Plaster is the perfect wall treatment for powder rooms for it’s dramatic shimmer effect, durability, and washability. For our client at the 22 West Condominiums in Washington, DC, we troweled three layers of Luster Stone plaster in two different colors to the walls. The client added her own touches including this beautiful chandelier she purchased in Egypt.

Newton’s Table in Bethesda, MD is open for business.

Working with Barbara Hawthorn Interiors, Artistry & Paint completed another restaurant project. Focusing on wood grain finishes, we executed Barbara’s vision for a Macassar Ebony Wood grain for the bar. Also, the restrooms were updated with silver leaf vanity and shimmery gold walls. Artwork for the walls are still in the making.

Tucked away and sitting upon a hill in the classic Kenwood neighborhood of Bethesda, MD, a truly unique home has undergone a renovation. Working with contractor Jim Boyd of DBI, our team applied a multi-layer finish – Faux Encaustic – to the ceiling and walls of this office addition.

A three month project, our team completed Venetian Bronze Plasters, Faux Glaze, Wood Graining and Staining, Antique Mirror Finishes, and Custom Art Work. Breathtaking Home in McLean, Virginia

This home is AMAZING. 20,000 square feet to include 3 kitchens, over 6 bedrooms and baths, and living spaces galore. The fully finished basement even has a bowling alley and a sunken dance floor. We applied many elegant finishes, with the most labor intensive being the gold-bronze turret ceiling. A platform was installed over a spiral stairwell in order to execute the painting.

Towering high above ground level at Turnberry luxury condominiums, Artistry & Paint once again collaborated with Alice Sydney of Theodore’s, creating custom decorative finishes to the walls of a three bedroom condo unit.

For the two accent walls in the dining room, we applied horizontal grasscloth panels in two-tone metallic finish, using hues from sofa accent pillows.

John’s Hopkins Goes “Goo”

Last month we completed two accent walls for our awesome client Cassandra, who recently relocated from a 4-level town home in Georgetown to a one floor sleek city condo.

Taking Art Deco Literally

Last month, we received a call from a young and upbeat couple who recently purchased a three-bedroom condo at the Westchester, a well-known Art Deco building in Washington, DC’s Cathedral Neighborhood. Ambitious and ready to get their hands dirty, they had big ideas for their old and tired parkay floors, but were unsure of how to execute their own vision. Paula Greenberg met with the couple and was delightfully surprised after reviewing their floor mural designs consisting of Art Deco Buildings with sharp lines, simple forms, and bold colors. Immediately, a plan was developed between Paula and the homeowners. Soon after, the collaboration began…

Sized templates of the murals were created at Paula’s studio and then brought on site for transfer. The entire surface was taped out and two coats of paint were rolled onto the surface and left to dry overnight.

The Entranceway…

The deeper blue is hand-painted and then all tape is removed. Gold leaf will line the center from bottom to top
